Department of Environmental Quality, Division of Air Quality
In accordance with Chapter 6, Section 2(m) of the Wyoming Air Quality Standards and
Regulations, notice is hereby given that the State of Wyoming, Department of Environmental
Quality, Division of Air Quality, proposes to approve a request by BP America Production
Company to modify the Monument 9-1 well site by recompleting the well into a new
formation, with four smokeless combustion devices to control volatile organic compound and
hazardous air pollutant emissions associated with the condensate storage tanks, active
produced water tanks and pneumatic pumps, located in the SE1/4NE1/4 of Section 9, T22N,
R93W, approximately sixteen (16) miles north-northeast of Wamsutter, in Sweetwater
County, Wyoming.
For the duration of the public comment period, copies of the permit application, the
agency’s analysis, and the public notice are available for public inspection online at and at the
Sweetwater County Clerk’s Office, Green River, Wyoming. In accordance with the
Americans with Disabilities Act, special assistance or alternate formats will be made
available upon request for individuals with disabilities.
