My Mom was awesome, raising 3 boys by herself. We went camping, to the amusement park, to the races, and lots more. She drove us 3 boys up to Ellsworth every year to see our Grandparents. That was at least a 4 hour trip, long before U.S. 131 was modernized up north. She made us go to Sunday school and to church. We always got to visit with many aunts, uncles, cousins also over the years. She was the best cook and loved making cakes and pies and cookies. The Holiday treats were always so delicious. There’s so many memories, too many to recall in a short period.
