Stephen F. Adams
Baggs resident, Stephen F. Adams, died on Tuesday, April 12, 2016, at the Yampa Valley Medical Center in Steamboat Springs. He was 67.
A celebration of Stephen’s life will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, April 22, 2016, at the Baggs Community Center.
Stephen Francis Adams was born to Stephen LeRoy and Anna Mae (Fleming) Adams on October 27, 1948, in Craig, Colo. He spent his childhood and attended public schools in various communities in Wyoming. The family settled in Baggs where Stephen finished high school.
During the Vietnam Era, Stephen served his country with the United States Army. He was stationed in Germany and was honorably discharged after four years of service.
In September of 1970, Stephen married the love of his life, Carolyn Solace in Baggs. To this union, two sons were born. The family raised cattle on the Adams Ranch in Baggs. Stephen and Carolyn celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary last year.
In his spare time, Stephen enjoyed playing poker, telling stories and drinking a few beers. He was active in the Baggs Community and across the State of Wyoming. Above all, Stephen loved and cherished his grandchildren. He will be deeply missed by his loving family and close friends.
Stephen is survived by his wife, Carolyn Adams of Baggs; two sons, Warren Adams and Nathan (Annie) Adams all of Baggs; two brothers, Pat (Susan) Adams of Nebraska and Mike Adams of Rawlins, WY; and two sisters, Dolly (Tony) Belus of Claremont, WY and Debbie Bogkin of Buna, TX. Stephen is further survived by two grandchildren, Royce and Ryal Adams; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Stephen was preceded in death by his parents, Stephen and Anna Mae Adams.
