Kathleen Ann Turner
Kathleen Ann Turner, 63, of Green River, passed away on Saturday, June 11, 2016 at her home. A resident of Green River for the past three months and former longtime resident of Rawlins Kathy died surrounded by family following a lengthy illness.
She was born on January 22, 1953 in Denver, Colo., the daughter of James and Marcella Work.
Kathy attended schools in Lakewood, Colo. and graduated in 1971 from Alameda High School.
She married Michael Lyle Turner in Denver, Colo. on July 17, 1971. He died in Casper on October 24, 2010.
Kathy was employed as a Deputy Clerk to the Carbon County Clerk. She enjoyed her job and appreciated the people she worked with.
Her interests were spending time with her family, cross-stitching, cooking, traveling, and she was an avid Denver Bronco’s Fan.
Survivors include two daughters, Tammy Korkow and husband Burt of Green River, Tina Turner of Rawlins; and one son, Travis Turner of Denver, Colo.; two brothers, Steve Work and wife Patty of Highlands Ranch, Colo. and Brad Work and wife Richelle of Lakewood, Colo.; one sister, Jan Maez of Grand Junction, Colo.; grandchildren; Matt Korkow and wife Stephanie, Justin Korkow and fiancé Tiffanie Phillips, Jennifer Puckett and husband Ryan, Madison Korkow, Matt Turner, and Shaylee Briggs-Turner; great grandchildren Kathrynn Korkow, Kaydince Puckett and twin grandchildren Aubrey and McCoy Puckett; several nieces and nephews.
She was loved by many, and will be dearly missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Following cremation, a Celebration of Life service will be at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, June 24th, 2016 at the Jeffrey Center in Rawlins.
