Kevin Deloy Hennek
Kevin Deloy Hennek, 56, of Rawlins passed away May 19, 2016 at the home of his daughter, Morriah Hennek of Casper, surrounded by his loving family.
Kevin was born May 2, 1960, son of the late Douglas Deloy and Gayle (Rollison) Hennek. Kevin's childhood was spent doing the things he loved most, hunting, fishing, camping and being with family. He graduated from Rawlins High School in 1978. Kevin worked at UPRR until 1984 with his father, Doug, on the B&B crew. He eventually went to work for the local coal mine in Hanna, Wy.
Kevin married Dawn (Skaggs) Wood in 1981. They had one daughter, Morriah, whom he dearly loved and adored. They later divorced. Kevin had two grandsons, Skyler and Izrael. He loved taking them out to target shoot and fish. Kevin was a natural at teaching the family how to hunt and shoot, as hunting was a lifelong passion passed down through generations. Family get together's always included plenty of hunting stories and laughter, especially with his Uncle Jack and Uncle Pat Rollison.
Kevin is best known for his wonderful sense of humor and love of laughter. He couldn't resist playing a joke. He never knew a stranger. That's what made him a "good ole boy."
Kevin is survived by his daughter, Morriah, and grandsons, Skyler and Izrael, of Casper, and many Aunts, Uncles and cousins of Rawlins and Sarstoga. He was preceded in death by his parents, two younger sisters, Denise and Robin; Grandmothers Vi Hennek and Evon Rollison; Grandfathers Harold "Peck" Rollison and Alfred Douglas Hennek.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on June 18, 2016, at the VFW from 2-6 PM. A special thank-you to Marty Danner for helping with arrangements and being such a wonderful support and friend to Kevin, and the rest of the family. We thank you so much.
