Alfred Hitchock-esque motel on chopping block

The abandoned motel at 822 W. Pine St. in Rawlins is set to be the demolished – at least, all the back rooms and concrete will be. Rawlins City Council awarded on Tuesday a $9,981.50 bid to Recycled Materials, LLC of Casper. Once demolition is complete, the city says it will pay the “landfill fees from the dangerous building fund of approximately $10,000 to $15,000.”
