RAWLINS — A local man is facing a judge after assaulting his girlfriend multiple times over the past eight months.

In November, Christopher D. Howard was charged with domestic battery, a felony that comes with a maximum penalty of 10 years in prison and/or a $10,000 fine. In February, Howard was again charged with domestic battery, as well as criminal trespass, a misdemeanor that comes with a maximum penalty of six months in jail and/or a $750 fine.
