James ‘Jim’ Beisner


James “Jim” Beisner, 82, of Anna IL, formerly of Hanna and Saratoga, Wyoming peacefully passed away at 8:40 AM, Tuesday, January 14, 2020 at his home surrounded by his family.

He was born July 24, 1937 in Ava Illinois to William and Ola (Nelson) Beisner. He married Helen Riddle in 1959, together they had 4 children and shared 60 wonderful years of marriage.

Jim worked for the St Louis Terminal Railroad for 23 years, before moving to Wyoming in 1980 to work for Carbon County Coal/Cypress. Jim loved Helen and his family, his job, riding horses, mowing the lawn, and John Deere tractors.

He is survived by his wife, Helen Beisner of Anna; children, James Jr. (Charlotte) Beisner and Steve (Tammy) Beisner, both of Staunton, Debbie (Duane) Stolns of Elk Mountain, WY, Bruce (Dana) Beisner of La Plata, MD; grandchildren, James, Steven (Mindy), Aaron (Rebecca), Daniel (Alyssa), Chelsea (Jon); great-grandchildren, Sophie, Madison, Jaxon, Ava, Bryce, Derek, Caleb and Mason; siblings, Alma White, and Dale Beisner of Ava IL, Billie Ruth Gale of Gorham, Raymond Beisner, Havelock, NC, Donna Stone of DuQuoin, Connie Morber of Campbell Hill, Lester Beisner of Anna, and sister in laws Barbara Beisner of Ava and Penny Beisner of Anna IL.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Doris Lunsford and brothers, Bob Beisner and Gary Beisner. Nephews Bobby and Brett Beisner.

Cremation will be accorded with inurnment taking place at Ebenezer Memorial Cemetary in Rockwood Illinois. A memorial service will take place at a later date.
