TERRE HAUET, Ind. — Rawlins High School senior and University of Arkansas commit Sydney Thorvaldson won yet another major cross-country meet on Sunday at the XC Town USA Meet of Champions in Terre Haute, Indiana. Not only did Thorvaldson win the meet, she crushed the course record by 11 seconds and beat the second-place finisher by more than 40 seconds.
Thorvaldson was excited to compete, considering she hadn’t had a chance to race since the Wyoming state championships at the end of October. That in mind, she admitted to feeling a bit nervous heading into the race. She knew she’d be lining up against runners with solid times and who were as excited to compete as she was.
